Fai la tua scelta: tipo raffreddato ad acqua o tipo raffreddato ad aria?
Welcome to Nanxiang “Compressor Academy”. Today we’d like to show you our research on different cooling methods. Generally, there are two types of the cooling methods for the air compressors: the water-cooled type and the air-cooled type.
It’s hard to tell which is better and you can compare them with each other in a different environment. Nanxiang makes a comparison between these two cooling methods for everyone to make their own judgment easier:
The so-called water-cooled method is to use the fluidity and the temperature difference of the cooling water to maintain the temperature of the air compressor within a certain range.
Advantages:
● Due to its certain cleaning effect, it cleans the internal equipment when it flows in the air compressor. It extends the maintenance cycle of the equipment and improve the quality of the compressed air;
● The water cooler adapts well to the climate change, it can adapt to the strong change of the temperature by increasing or decreasing the water pressure;
● Water cooler is more reliable in dusty environments, such as textiles, spraying, carbon black and titanium dioxide industry etc.;
● The oil side of the water cooler is easy to clean, and the air cooler cannot do it.
Disadvantages:
● Restricted by water resources, the scope of application is relatively narrow;
● There may be calcium and magnesium ions in the cooling water, these ions react chemically due to the high temperature in the cooler, and then form into fouling in the cooler, which affects the cooling efficiency of the cooler.
The so-called air-cooled method is to use the fluidity of the air to take away heat, which keeps the air compressor always in a suitable temperature range.
Advantages:
The greatest advantage of the air-cooled method is that it’s not effected by the environment and can be applied in any area.
Disadvantages:
● If the surrounding air quality is bad, it is easy to pollute the entire air compressor and the compressed air. Therefore, to avoid such situation, it is recommended to upload the filter;
● If it is used in a confined space, it is recommended to add an air inlet & exhaust equipment;
● The cooling effect and the quality are not as good as water-cooled.
If it is not in a particularly water-shortage environment, it is recommended that the water-cooled type should be your first choice since the air-cooled type has a simple structure and low investment. But due to the limited conditions, the heat dissipation effect is bad, and it is mostly applied in small air compressors.
Although the water-cooled type has a complex structure and high technical requirements, it has a significant heat dissipation effect, is easy to adjust and operates reliably. Therefore, most of the large and medium-sized air compressors are water-cooled.
