Features of the Carbon Steel Air Tanks / Air Receivers
●Durable-Carbon steel air tanks or air receivers are a popular choice for their durability and resistance to corrosion.
●Safety-Unlike many other metals, carbon steel does not easily corrode and is able to withstand strong vibrations. Additionally, this material can be safely handled and used compared to other alternatives.
●Eco-friendly-Another advantage of using carbon steel is its recyclability, making it an eco-friendly option.
●Economy-The ability to manufacture carbon steel as thin as needed also adds cost-effectiveness to its list of benefits.

Note:
Model number remarks: “F” as fixed speed, “V” as VSD. Due to the potentially different rotation speeds of motors, the air flow rates of fixed speed represent the minimum in the range (i.e 30kW 8 bar 5.67m³/min), while VSD can reach the maximum at full loading.
Standard voltage in 380V (+/-10%), 50Hz +/-2% and available for customized voltage 220/380/440/460V/60Hz.
In cases of elevated altitudes, extreme temperatures, excessive humidity, heavy dust exposure, or any other challenging operational environments, we can offer tailored product designs to meet your specific needs. Customization is available to align with your unique requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the characteristics of carbon steel air tanks?
Carbon steel air tanks are known for their strong corrosion resistance, making them capable of withstanding exposure to high concentrations of acids, alkalis, salts, oils, and solvents in the atmosphere. They have been widely used in various aspects of chemical corrosion prevention and are replacing materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, wood, and non-ferrous metals. These tanks are lightweight yet strong, with a relative density between 1.5 and 2.0, only 1/4 to 1/5 that of carbon steel, but with comparable or even higher tensile strength, and can even compete with high-grade alloy steel in terms of strength-to-weight ratio. As a result, they are highly effective in high-pressure vessels and other products that require weight reduction.
Precautions for the use of carbon steel air tanks
When using carbon steel air tanks to store hydrochloric acid, it is important to take certain precautions. First, the foundation of the tank should be raised and the design of the bottom should be improved to include an acid sludge bag, which will increase the tank’s ability to discharge and collect sludge. Second, the unloading process should be improved. Third, the management of the hydrochloric acid tank should be strengthened, and the process operation should be optimized to reduce the amount of acid sludge and impurities at the source. Fourth, it is important to thoroughly clean the hydrochloric acid tank before storing other chemicals. Typically, low-concentration hydrochloric acid (relative to the hydrochloric acid already in the tank) should be poured into the carbon steel tank and mixed thoroughly to absorb the acid gas in the tank. Then, the diluted hydrochloric acid should be emptied and coal ash should be added to solidify the sludge. After the acid gas has dissipated and the tank has been ventilated, the ash should be removed and waste alkali solution should be added for alkaline washing. Only after these steps have been taken can the hydrochloric acid tank be used to store other chemicals.
