A water-lubricated oil-free air compressor uses water for lubrication, but does this mean that the compressed air it produces contains more water vapor than other types of compressors?
Actually, no. The oil-free water-lubricated compressor operates at around 45 degrees Celsius, which is below the temperature required for water vapor to form. Additionally, a high-quality water-lubricated oil-free screw compressor will not produce any liquid water in the compressed air due to its water separation system. The water content in the compressed air is determined by this system, and any liquid water is separated and removed through a centrifugal and cyclone separation process. In fact, the water content in an oil-free water-lubricated compressor is 15% lower than that of the surrounding air and lower than that of oil-injected screw compressors. Each of Nanxiang oil-free compressors undergoes professional dew point testing to ensure that the water content meets the required standards before leaving the factory.
Is a water-lubricated, oil-free air compressor like a natural "bacteria ship" in the engine room? Does the discharged air contain a high amount of bacteria?
Water can only breed bacteria if it stays in a sealed space for more than 72 hours. However, in a water-lubricated, oil-free machine, the water inside is constantly circulating and working, with a portion automatically discharged and replenished every 200 hours. After being cleaned by the water, the bacteria and impurities in the air are greatly removed and absorbed by the lubricating water, and the compressor’s filter can filter out some bacteria. The compressed air discharged will only contain a very small amount of bacteria.
Furthermore, the water in the engine room can only react with the air when it comes into contact with it. The intake valve and pressure valve are all sealed, and the water inside the machine cannot come into contact with the air, so there are no conditions for bacteria to breed.
Is it necessary to constantly add water to the water-lubricated oil-free air compressor and have it continuously drain water outside due to its high water consumption? Does this cause inconvenience and waste a large amount of water?
The water lubricated oil-free air compressor may seem like it consumes a lot of water, but it actually has a water level sensor that automatically replenishes and drains the water as needed. Similar to a washing machine, it only requires water when replacing the used water. For example, a 110 KW water lubricated compressor with a lubricating water volume of 130 liters would require approximately 6 tons of water per year, even if doubled. At a cost less than 1 dollar per ton of water, the annual water expense would only be less than 10 dollar, making it a cost-effective and water-saving option.
Is using water as a lubricant effective and does it prolong the lifespan of the air compressor?
Water serves as a coolant, sealant, and lubricant in the machine. The water-lubricated oil-free screw air compressor uses food-grade materials such as SUS304 and is independently developed and produced, with strong stability tested by the market.
