Key tasks for the oxygen generator include replacing inlet air filters every 1,000–2,000 hours, checking pneumatic valves for wear, and verifying oxygen purity with a calibrated analyzer. The zeolite media inside the oxygen generator typically lasts 10–15 years before replacement is needed.

Yes, a medical-grade oxygen generator can supply oxygen for respiratory therapy in hospitals and clinics. However, the oxygen generator must meet specific purity standards (typically 93% ±3%) and comply with local medical device regulations. A medical oxygen generator also requires additional monitoring, alarms, and backup systems to ensure uninterrupted oxygen supply for patient care.

A PSA oxygen generator produces oxygen on-demand in smaller volumes (up to a few hundred cubic meters per hour) using pressure swing adsorption technology.
