When the air compressor fails, you can follow the steps below to perform preliminary inspection and treatment:
1. Check whether the power supply is normal and ensure that the air compressor is properly connected to the power supply and powered on.
2. Check the oil level of the air compressor. If the oil level is too low, the air compressor will not work properly. Add an appropriate amount of fresh lubricating oil in time.
3. Check the air filter. If it is severely blocked, it will affect the air circulation. Clean or replace the new air filter in time.
4. Check the exhaust pipeline to ensure that there is no blockage or air leakage, otherwise it will reduce the compression efficiency.
5. Listen to whether the air compressor has abnormal noise during operation. If so, it may be due to wear of the piston ring or damage to other parts.
6. Check the pressure gauge reading to determine whether the air compressor can be pressurized normally.
There are many possible reasons for air compressor failure:
Motor failure
The motor is the power source of the air compressor. If the motor winding is burned or the bearing is worn, the air compressor will not be able to start or operate.
Wear of cylinder piston ring
The sealing performance of the piston ring is reduced, which will cause leakage in the compression chamber and affect the air compression efficiency.
Valve failure
Failure of the intake valve and exhaust valve will cause the compressed air to not flow smoothly.
Leakage of air tank or pipeline
Rupture and corrosion of the air tank or connecting pipeline will cause a large amount of compressed air to leak.
Safety valve failure
Failure of the safety valve will cause the pressure to be unable to be released, causing overpressure in the air compressor.
Lubrication system failure
Insufficient lubricating oil supply will accelerate the wear of piston rings and cylinders.
